A beautifully presented one bedroom garden flat, perched on the very border of E11 with E10.
There’s lashings of natural light, bouncing off the bleached blond original stripped wood flooring and monochrome walls, creating a feeling of space throughout, the perfect blank canvas.
To the front is a generous, bay windowed reception room, with plenty of space both to relax and entertain. Directly behind, off the hallway, sits the modern three piece bathroom, and then the capacious bedroom. At over 17 feet in length, lack of storage space will never be an excuse. The internal areas are completed by the kitchen to the rear, complete with a range of base and eye level units and tiled splashbacks. It’s also from this room that you can access the private garden, laid to lawn and with a patio area for al fresco dining in the summer.
A wonderful flat and a wonderful location – enough said.
Living here... - This delightful property is perfectly positioned between Walthamstow, Leyton and Leytonstone. As a result it has fantastic transport links in to the City. Both Leyton Midland and Leytonstone stations are within walking distance, as are Hollow Ponds and Abbotts Park when the working week is done and the weekend stretches ahead of you. And you definitely won't be lost for places to take friends on those weekend days and nights out, with both the delights of Francis Road (Yardarm, Marmelo et al) and Leytonstone High Road (The Birds, The Red Lion) just the shortest of short strolls away.
In This Area... - Leytonstone, or Leyton-St-One its posh nickname, is the birthplace and former home of Alfred Hitchcock. It gets its name, or the stone bit at least, from the Highstone mile marker which stands on Hollybush Hill. Bordering Walthamstow, Wanstead, Epping Forest, Leyton and Stratford, Leytonstone has a lot going on. The Northcote Arms, which is technically in Leyton, is the local pub. It's got a real community feel including Sunday drag nights, delicious stone-oven pizza and a wide selection of ales. Five mins down from the pub on Francis Road, stroll through "Leyton village" with its much-raved about restaurant Marmelo's, Yardarm wine and cafe and independent boutiques. On the Leytonstone side is the High Road where you can check out The Birds (spot the Hitchcock link?) or The North Star, tucked away in Bushwood. And If you want amazing views of the City, go on a tower tour at St John the Baptist Church. The views are simply spectacular, especially at sunset with the lights of
In The Owners Words... - We have loved making this flat our own, it's constantly light with incredibly high ceilings in the living space, spacious and full of character. The perfect first buy for us. The garden has been a huge highlight, allowing the summer weekends to be spent enjoying outdoor life from morning until late evening - the sun will last all day with you as your own private haven. The local community is thriving, with everything you could possibly need within walking distance. From a walk around Epping Forest, a great selection of local pubs - Red Lion, The Birds, The Heathcote & Star all within walking distance plus Francis Road and Walthamstow Village a stoll away. If you need a breather from the city there are plenty of rural parts to explore, also closeby. We really feel part of a community with great neighbours and love it so much we won't be moving far.
